Ingredients

  • – 1 lb ground beef (80% lean)

  • – 4 oz cream cheese, softened

  • – 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • – 2 jalapeños, seeded and finely chopped (keep seeds for extra heat)

  • – 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

  • – 1/2 teaspoon onion powder

  • – Salt and pepper, to taste

  • – 4 burger buns

  • – Lettuce, tomato, and other favorite burger toppings


Instructions

  1. Mix stuffing: In a bowl, combine cream cheese, shredded cheddar, chopped jalapeños, garlic powder, and a pinch of salt. Set aside.

  2. Prepare patties: Divide ground beef into 8 equal portions. Flatten 4 portions into thin patties.

  3. Stuff burgers: Spoon about 2 tablespoons of the cream cheese mixture onto each flattened patty. Top with another flattened patty and seal the edges well to encase the filling.

  4. Season: Lightly season both sides of each stuffed patty with salt and pepper.

  5. Cook: Heat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat. Cook the patties 4–5 minutes per side or until beef is cooked through and cheese is melty inside.
