Air Fryer Chicken Nuggets Recipe | Crispy, Golden, and Easy

  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch cubes

  • 1 cup panko breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp onion powder

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 1 egg

  • 2 tbsp milk

  • Cooking spray


Instructions

  • Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.

  • Set up the coating stations:

    • In one bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.

    • In a second bowl, whisk together egg and milk.

    • In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.

  • Coat the chicken nuggets:

    • Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.

    • Dip into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.

    • Roll in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for better adhesion.

  • Air fry the nuggets:

    • Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.

    • Arrange the chicken nuggets in a single layer (do not overcrowd).

    • Spray the tops with cooking spray to enhance crispiness.

  • Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the nuggets are golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).

 

  • Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces (ketchup, honey mustard, ranch, or BBQ sauce).
