½ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for extra flavor)
-
½ cup all-purpose flour
-
1 tsp garlic powder
-
1 tsp onion powder
-
½ tsp smoked paprika
-
½ tsp salt
-
½ tsp black pepper
-
1 egg
-
2 tbsp milk
-
Cooking spray
Instructions
-
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for about 5 minutes.
-
Set up the coating stations:
-
In one bowl, mix flour, garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and black pepper.
-
In a second bowl, whisk together egg and milk.
-
In a third bowl, combine panko breadcrumbs and Parmesan cheese.
-
-
Coat the chicken nuggets:
-
Dredge each piece of chicken in the flour mixture, shaking off excess.
-
Dip into the egg mixture, ensuring it’s fully coated.
-
Roll in the breadcrumb mixture, pressing gently for better adhesion.
-
-
Air fry the nuggets:
-
Lightly spray the air fryer basket with cooking spray.
-
Arrange the chicken nuggets in a single layer (do not overcrowd).
-
Spray the tops with cooking spray to enhance crispiness.

-
Cook for 10-12 minutes, flipping halfway through, until the nuggets are golden brown and crispy. The internal temperature should reach 165°F (74°C).
-
Serve immediately with your favorite dipping sauces (ketchup, honey mustard, ranch, or BBQ sauce).
