Air Fryer Honey Garlic Steak & Sweet Pepper Bites – Quick & Flavorful Recipe

Ingredients

1 lb sirloin or flank steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
1 1/2 cups mini sweet bell peppers, cut into chunks
1 tablespoon olive oil
Salt and pepper, to taste
1 tablespoon sesame seeds (optional)
Chopped green onions, for garnish

For the Honey Garlic Sauce:
1/4 cup honey
3 tablespoons soy sauce
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon fresh grated ginger (or 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger)
1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar
1 teaspoon cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water (slurry)


Instructions

  • Prep the Steak and Peppers:

    • In a large bowl, toss steak cubes and sweet pepper chunks with olive oil, salt, and pepper.

  • Air Fry:

    • Preheat your air fryer to 400°F (200°C).

    • Place the steak and peppers in the basket in a single layer.

    • Air fry for 8–10 minutes, shaking halfway through, until steak is browned and cooked to your preference.

  • Make the Sauce:

    • While the steak is cooking, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, ginger, and vinegar in a small saucepan.

    • Bring to a simmer over medium heat.

    • Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook for 1–2 minutes until the sauce thickens.

  • Coat the Steak and Peppers:

    • Transfer the cooked steak and peppers to a bowl.

    • Pour the honey garlic sauce over the top and toss to coat evenly.

 

  • Garnish and Serve:

    • Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions, if desired.

    • Serve hot as an appetizer or over rice or noodles for a full meal.
