Amazing Banana Bread Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting: A Slice of Pure Heaven

Ingredients

For the Banana Cake:
  • 🍌 3 ripe bananas (mashed)

  • 🧈 1/2 cup unsalted butter (softened)

  • 🍬 3/4 cup granulated sugar

  • 🍯 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 🥚 2 large eggs

  • 🥄 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 🌾 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

  • 🧂 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 🥄 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 🥛 1/2 cup buttermilk or sour cream

For the Cream Cheese Frosting:

  • 🧀 8 oz cream cheese (softened)

  • 🧈 1/4 cup unsalted butter (softened)

  • 🍬 2 cups powdered sugar

  • 🥄 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 🥛 1–2 tablespoons milk (optional, for spreading consistency)


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13-inch baking dish.

  2. In a large bowl, cream butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until fluffy.

  3. Add eggs one at a time, then mix in mashed bananas and vanilla.

  4. Whisk together flour, salt, and baking soda in a separate bowl.

  5. Add dry ingredients to the banana mixture alternately with buttermilk or sour cream. Mix until just combined.

  6. Pour batter into prepared pan and smooth the top.

  7. Bake for 30–35 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.

  8. Cool completely before frosting.

For the Frosting:
  1. Beat cream cheese and butter until smooth.

  2. Add powdered sugar and vanilla; beat until creamy. Add a splash of milk if needed for spreading.
