Ingredients
For the Cake:

1½ cups all-purpose flour

½ cup granulated sugar

1½ tsp baking powder

½ tsp salt

½ cup milk
-
1 large egg
-
2 tsp vanilla extract

¼ cup unsalted butter, melted
For the Apple Filling:

2 cups apples, peeled & diced

2 tbsp brown sugar
-
1 tsp cinnamon
For the Glaze:

1 cup powdered sugar
-
2–3 tbsp milk
-
½ tsp vanilla extract
Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease an 8×8” baking dish.

In a skillet, cook apples with brown sugar and cinnamon until soft (5–7 minutes).

In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk, egg, vanilla, and melted butter until combined.

Pour half the batter into the pan. Add half the apple filling. Repeat with remaining batter and apples.

Swirl slightly with a knife for a marbled look.

Bake 35–40 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.

Mix glaze ingredients and drizzle over warm cake.
