Baked Cod in Lemon Butter: Easy, Delicious, and Flavorful Recipe

  • 4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)

  • 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 1 tsp lemon zest

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • ½ tsp dried oregano or thyme

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

  • 1 lemon (sliced, for serving)


Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:

    • Set the oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.

  • Prepare the Lemon Butter Sauce:

    • In a small bowl, mix melted butter, lemon juice, garlic, lemon zest, salt, black pepper, paprika, and oregano.

  • Season the Cod:

    • Place the cod fillets in the baking dish. Pour the lemon butter sauce over them, ensuring each fillet is coated.

  • Bake the Cod:

    • Bake for 12-15 minutes until the fish flakes easily with a fork.

 

  • Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon slices.
