Baked Cod with Garlic and Lemon: A Simple, Healthy Seafood Recipe

4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
Juice of 1 lemon
Zest of 1 lemon
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
Lemon slices, for garnish


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

  • Place the cod fillets in the baking dish.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil, garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, paprika, salt, and pepper.

  • Pour the mixture evenly over the cod fillets.

  • Bake for 12–15 minutes, or until the fish is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

 

  • Garnish with chopped parsley and lemon slices before serving.
