BBQ Pulled Chicken Sliders: The Ultimate Easy & Delicious Recipe

For the Pulled Chicken:
  • 2 large chicken breasts (boneless, skinless)

  • 1 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand)

  • ½ cup chicken broth

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar

  • 1 tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper to taste

For the Sliders:
  • 12 slider buns (Hawaiian rolls work great!)

  • 2 tbsp butter, melted

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ cup coleslaw (optional, for topping)

  • Pickles (optional)


Instructions

  • Cook the Chicken:

    • In a slow cooker, combine chicken breasts, BBQ sauce, chicken broth, brown sugar, apple cider vinegar, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.

    • Cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours, until chicken is tender and easily shreddable.

  • Shred the Chicken:

    • Use two forks to shred the chicken directly in the slow cooker.

    • Stir to coat the chicken in the sauce and let it soak for another 10-15 minutes on warm.

  • Prepare the Buns:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).

    • Place slider buns on a baking sheet and brush the tops with melted butter mixed with garlic powder.

    • Toast in the oven for 5 minutes until slightly golden.

  • Assemble the Sliders:

    • Place BBQ pulled chicken on the bottom half of each bun.

    • Add coleslaw and pickles if desired.

    • Place the top buns on and serve warm.
