Beef and Noodles Delight: A Hearty and Flavorful Comfort Food Recipe

For the Beef:

  • 1 lb beef sirloin or stew meat (cut into bite-sized pieces)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 small onion (chopped)

  • 2 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp dried thyme

  • 1 cup beef broth

  • ½ cup heavy cream or sour cream (for a creamy version)

For the Noodles:

  • 12 oz egg noodles or pasta of choice

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

  • 2 tbsp chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  • Cook the Beef:

    • Heat olive oil and butter in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add beef and sear until browned on all sides. Remove and set aside.

    • In the same pan, sauté onions until soft, then add garlic and cook for another 30 seconds.

    • Return the beef to the skillet, season with salt, pepper, paprika, and thyme.

    • Pour in beef broth, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes until the beef is tender.

    • Stir in heavy cream or sour cream for a creamy version and let it heat through.

  • Cook the Noodles:

    • While the beef simmers, cook the noodles according to package instructions. Drain and toss with butter and Parmesan cheese (if using).

 

  • Assemble and Serve:

    • Plate the buttered noodles and top with the beef mixture.

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm.
