Ingredients
-
1 lb ground beef (80/20 preferred)
-
Salt and black pepper, to taste
-
6 small flour tortillas
-
6 slices cheddar or American cheese
-
1/2 cup shredded lettuce
-
1/4 cup diced onions
-
1/4 cup diced pickles
-
Sesame seeds (optional, for garnish)
For the Big Mac Sauce:
-
1/2 cup mayonnaise
-
2 tablespoons ketchup
-
1 tablespoon yellow mustard
-
1 tablespoon finely diced pickles or relish
-
1 teaspoon white vinegar
-
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
-
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
-
1/2 teaspoon paprika
Instructions
Make the Sauce:
In a small bowl, mix together all Big Mac sauce ingredients until smooth. Cover and refrigerate until ready to use.
Smash the Beef:
Divide ground beef into 6 equal portions and roll into loose balls.
Place a ball of beef on the center of each tortilla. Flatten and press the beef into a thin layer using your palm or the bottom of a flat cup. Season with salt and pepper.
Cook the Tacos:
Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium-high heat. Place the beef side down and cook for 3–4 minutes until browned and crispy. Flip and cook the tortilla side for 1–2 minutes until golden and warmed through. Add a slice of cheese on top of the beef after flipping, so it melts.
Assemble:
Top each taco with shredded lettuce, diced onions, pickles, and a drizzle of Big Mac sauce. Sprinkle with sesame seeds for that signature look (optional).
Serve:
Serve warm with extra sauce on the side. Perfect for a fun twist on taco night!
