Buttery Garlic Knots Recipe – Soft, Savory, and Irresistible

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

  • 4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)

  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven:

    • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.

  • Prepare the dough:

    • Roll out the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface.

    • Cut the dough into about 12 strips (each approximately 1-inch wide).

    • Roll each strip into a knot, either tying it in a simple knot shape or twisting it into a spiral, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.

  • Make the garlic butter sauce:

    • In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop.

    • Stir in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, oregano (if using), and red pepper flakes (optional). Mix until the garlic is evenly distributed.

  • Brush the knots:

    • Using a pastry brush, generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each dough knot, making sure each one is well-coated.

  • Bake the knots:

    • Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through.

  • Garnish and serve:

    • Once the knots are done baking, remove them from the oven and brush them with any remaining garlic butter.

    • Optionally, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for added flavor and serve immediately.
