Ingredients
-
1 package (16 oz) refrigerated pizza dough
-
4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
-
4 garlic cloves, minced
-
1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
-
1/2 teaspoon salt
-
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano (optional)
-
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
-
Grated Parmesan cheese (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
-
Preheat the oven:
-
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it.
-
-
Prepare the dough:
-
Roll out the pizza dough onto a lightly floured surface.
-
Cut the dough into about 12 strips (each approximately 1-inch wide).
-
Roll each strip into a knot, either tying it in a simple knot shape or twisting it into a spiral, then place them on the prepared baking sheet.
-
-
Make the garlic butter sauce:
-
In a small bowl, melt the butter in the microwave or on the stovetop.
-
Stir in the minced garlic, chopped parsley, salt, oregano (if using), and red pepper flakes (optional). Mix until the garlic is evenly distributed.
-
-
Brush the knots:
-
Using a pastry brush, generously brush the garlic butter mixture over each dough knot, making sure each one is well-coated.
-
-
Bake the knots:
-
Place the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the knots are golden brown and cooked through.
-
-
Garnish and serve:
-
Once the knots are done baking, remove them from the oven and brush them with any remaining garlic butter.
-
Optionally, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese for added flavor and serve immediately.
