Buttery Garlic Knots: The Perfect Snack and Side Dish Recipe

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (13.8 oz) refrigerated pizza dough

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter (melted)

  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano

  • 1/2 teaspoon dried basil

  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions

  • Preheat the Oven:
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.

  • Prepare the Dough:
Roll out the pizza dough onto a floured surface. Cut the dough into 12 strips (about 1 inch wide).

  • Shape the Knots:
Take each strip of dough and tie it into a knot shape, then place the knots onto the prepared baking sheet. Leave some space between each knot.

  • Make the Garlic Butter:
In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, dried oregano, dried basil, salt, and black pepper. Stir well.

  • Brush the Knots:
Use a brush to generously coat each dough knot with the garlic butter mixture. Reserve a little bit of the butter for later.

  • Bake the Knots:
Bake the garlic knots in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown.

  • Finish and Serve:
Once baked, brush the remaining garlic butter over the knots. Optionally, sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese and fresh chopped parsley for garnish. Serve warm.
