Caprese Caesar Pasta Salad: A Flavorful and Creamy Fusion of Two Classics

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz short pasta (rotini, farfalle, or penne)
1 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1 cup fresh mozzarella balls (bocconcini or ciliegine), halved if large
1/4 cup fresh basil leaves, torn or chopped
1/2 cup Caesar dressing (store-bought or homemade)
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Optional: croutons for crunch, balsamic glaze for drizzling

Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta: Boil pasta in salted water according to package instructions. Drain and rinse under cold water to stop the cooking. Let cool completely.

  • Combine Ingredients: In a large bowl, mix the cooled pasta with cherry tomatoes, mozzarella, and fresh basil.

  • Add Dressing: Pour Caesar dressing over the salad and toss to coat evenly. Add Parmesan, salt, and pepper to taste.

  • Finish and Serve: Just before serving, top with croutons if using and drizzle with a little balsamic glaze for extra flavor, if desired.

  • Chill (Optional): Refrigerate for 20–30 minutes for flavors to meld, or serve immediately at room temperature.
