Cheesy Hamburger Rice Casserole Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 small onion, chopped

  • 2 cups cooked rice

  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup

  • 1 can cream of chicken soup

  • 1 cup sour cream

  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs (optional topping)

  • 2 tbsp melted butter (if using breadcrumbs)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13 baking dish.

  • In a skillet, cook ground beef and onion until beef is browned. Drain excess fat.

  • Stir in cooked rice, cream of mushroom soup, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, 1 1/2 cups cheddar, garlic powder, paprika, salt & pepper.

  • Spread mixture evenly into the baking dish.

  • Top with remaining cheddar. For a crunchy topping, mix breadcrumbs with melted butter and sprinkle on top.

  • Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes until hot and bubbly.
