Cheesy Taco Cream Cheese Pasta: A Quick and Delicious Dinner Recipe

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale

8 oz pasta (penne or rotini work well)

1 lb ground beef

1 tablespoon olive oil

1 packet taco seasoning

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1/2 cup sour cream

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup salsa

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

Chopped green onions or cilantro for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Cook the pasta: Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain and set aside.

Brown the beef: While the pasta is cooking, heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it apart with a spoon. Drain excess fat if necessary.

Add seasoning: Stir in the taco seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Add the salsa and mix well.

Make the cheesy sauce: Lower the heat and add the softened cream cheese, shredded cheddar cheese, sour cream, and milk. Stir until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes creamy.

Combine pasta and sauce: Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss until the pasta is evenly coated with the cheesy taco sauce.

Serve: Garnish with chopped green onions or cilantro if desired. Serve hot.
