1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans

Preheat Oven:

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

Mix Dry Ingredients:

In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).

Mix Wet Ingredients:

In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well.

Add eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas. Stir until smooth.

Combine and Fold:

Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined—do not overmix.

Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.

Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.
