Chocolate Chip Banana Bread Recipe – Moist, Sweet & Irresistible!

Ingredients

1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon (optional)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted and slightly cooled
1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
1/4 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1 1/4 cups)
3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips (plus extra for topping)
Optional: 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans


Instructions

  • Preheat Oven:

    • Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and line a 9×5-inch loaf pan with parchment paper.

  • Mix Dry Ingredients:

    • In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon (if using).

  • Mix Wet Ingredients:

    • In a large bowl, combine melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar. Mix well.

    • Add eggs, vanilla, and mashed bananas. Stir until smooth.

  • Combine and Fold:

    • Add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture and stir until just combined—do not overmix.

    • Fold in chocolate chips and nuts if using.

  • Bake:

    • Pour batter into prepared loaf pan. Sprinkle extra chocolate chips on top.

    • Bake for 55–65 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean (a few moist crumbs are okay).

 

  • Cool and Serve:

    • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
