Ingredients
1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 oz)
1 box instant chocolate pudding mix (3.9 oz)
2 cups milk
1/2 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
1/2 cup chopped peanut butter cups (plus more for topping)
1/2 stick (1/4 cup) butter, sliced
Vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, for serving (optional)
Instructions

Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

Mix Pudding: In a bowl, whisk together the chocolate pudding mix and milk until smooth. Let it sit for 2–3 minutes to thicken slightly.

Layer Ingredients: Pour the pudding into the bottom of the baking dish. Dollop the peanut butter over the pudding layer. Sprinkle the chopped peanut butter cups and mini chocolate chips evenly over the top.

Add Cake Mix: Sprinkle the dry chocolate cake mix evenly over everything—do not stir.

Top with Butter: Place butter slices evenly over the top of the cake mix layer.

Bake: Bake uncovered for 40–45 minutes, or until the top is bubbly and slightly crisp.

Cool & Serve: Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Scoop into bowls and top with more peanut butter cups and a scoop of vanilla ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
