Ingredients
8 oz fettuccine or penne pasta
1/2 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined
1/2 lb smoked sausage, sliced
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tbsp Cajun seasoning (plus more to taste)
1 tbsp butter
3 garlic cloves, minced
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 tsp paprika
Salt & pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium-high heat. Season shrimp with Cajun seasoning. Cook shrimp for 1–2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
In the same skillet, add sliced sausage and cook until browned. Remove and set aside.
Lower heat to medium. Add butter and garlic to the skillet, sauté for 1 minute. Pour in heavy cream and chicken broth, stirring to combine. Add Parmesan, paprika, salt, and pepper. Simmer until slightly thickened.
Return shrimp and sausage to the skillet. Add cooked pasta and toss to coat in the creamy Cajun sauce.
Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
