Description
Indulge in this easy Creamy French Mustard Chicken, made with Dijon, garlic, and thyme for a deliciously rich and tangy one-pan meal.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp olive oil
1/2 cup chicken broth
1/2 cup heavy cream
3 tbsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp whole grain mustard
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tsp dried thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Fresh parsley, chopped (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
Season the chicken breasts with salt, pepper, and thyme. Add the chicken to the skillet and cook for 6-7 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
In the same skillet, add the minced garlic and cook for 1 minute until fragrant.
Pour in the chicken broth and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the pan.
Stir in the Dijon mustard, whole grain mustard, and heavy cream. Bring the mixture to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened.
Return the chicken breasts to the skillet, spoon the sauce over the top, and let it simmer for an additional 2 minutes.
Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
