Creamy Garlic Shrimp Pasta: A Rich and Flavorful Recipe for Seafood Lovers

For the Pasta:

  • 8 oz fettuccine or spaghetti

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • Salt (for boiling water)

For the Shrimp:

  • 1 lb shrimp (peeled and deveined)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp paprika

  • 1 tbsp butter

For the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

  • 2 tbsp butter

  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 1 cup heavy cream

  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning

  • ½ cup pasta water (reserved)

  • Salt and pepper (to taste)

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  • Cook the Pasta:

    • Boil pasta in salted water until al dente. Drain and reserve ½ cup of pasta water. Toss with olive oil and set aside.

  • Cook the Shrimp:

    • Season shrimp with salt, pepper, and paprika.

    • Heat butter in a pan over medium heat and cook shrimp for 2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from the pan.

  • Make the Creamy Garlic Sauce:

    • In the same pan, melt butter and sauté garlic for 1 minute until fragrant.

    • Pour in heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, red pepper flakes, and Italian seasoning. Stir well.

    • Simmer for 3-4 minutes until slightly thickened. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper.

  • Combine Everything:

    • Add cooked pasta and shrimp to the sauce, tossing to coat.

    • If needed, add reserved pasta water to loosen the sauce.

 

  • Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped parsley and extra Parmesan. Serve warm.
