Crispy Feta Fried Eggs Recipe: A Deliciously Easy Breakfast Delight

  • 2 large eggs
  • ⅓ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper (to taste)
  • 1 tbsp fresh herbs (parsley, dill, or basil), chopped

 

  • 1 slice sourdough or pita bread (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat the Pan:

    • Heat olive oil in a nonstick or cast-iron skillet over medium heat.
    • Sprinkle crumbled feta evenly over the pan.
  2. Cook the Feta & Eggs:

    • Let the feta sizzle for 30-60 seconds until it starts to melt and crisp up.
    • Crack the eggs directly on top of the feta.
    • Season with salt, black pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using).
  3. Fry Until Crispy:

    • Cook for 3-4 minutes until the egg whites are set and the feta is golden and crispy.
    • For a runny yolk, keep the heat moderate; for a firmer yolk, cook a bit longer.
  4. Serve & Enjoy:

    • Carefully transfer the eggs to a plate.
    • Sprinkle with fresh herbs and serve over toasted sourdough or pita.
