Crispy Parmesan Artichoke Hearts Recipe: A Delicious Appetizer

  • 1 can (400 g) artichoke hearts (drained and halved)

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • 2 eggs (beaten)

  • ¾ cup panko breadcrumbs

  • ½ cup Parmesan cheese (grated)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp salt

  • ¼ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp Italian seasoning

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for frying)

  • Fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

  • Lemon wedges (for serving)


Instructions

  • Prepare Breading Station:

    • Place flour in one bowl.

    • In another bowl, beat the eggs.

    • In a third bowl, mix panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning.

  • Coat the Artichokes:

    • Dredge each artichoke heart in flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat with the panko-Parmesan mixture.

  • Cook Until Crispy:

    • Heat olive oil in a pan over medium heat.

    • Fry artichokes for 2-3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy.

    • Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate.

 

  • Serve:

    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges or a dipping sauce of choice.
