Ingredients

1 loaf Cuban bread (or French bread if unavailable)

4 tbsp yellow mustard

4 slices Swiss cheese

½ lb sliced roasted pork (mojo pork preferred)

½ lb sliced deli ham

¼ cup sliced dill pickles

2 tbsp butter, softened
Instructions

Prep the Bread:

Slice the Cuban bread in half lengthwise.

Spread yellow mustard on both sides of the bread.

Layer the Fillings:

On the bottom half, layer:
-
2 slices Swiss cheese
-
All of the roast pork
-
All of the ham
-
Pickle slices
-
Remaining 2 slices of Swiss cheese

Assemble the Sandwich:

Place the top half of the bread on the sandwich.

Lightly butter the outside of both top and bottom crusts.

Grill the Sandwich:

Heat a panini press or large skillet over medium heat.

Press the sandwich down with a heavy pan or use the press, grilling for 4–5 minutes per side, or until bread is golden and cheese is melted.

Slice & Serve:

Cut into halves or quarters.

Serve warm with chips, plantain chips, or a simple salad.
