1 medium head cauliflower, cut into florets
8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
3 tablespoons olive oil or butter
4 cloves garlic, minced
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
½ teaspoon smoked paprika (optional)
¼ teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
1 tablespoon lemon juice
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped
¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Vegetables: Heat olive oil or butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Add mushrooms and sauté for 3-4 minutes until they begin to soften.
Cook the Cauliflower: Add cauliflower florets to the skillet. Stir well to coat with oil and cook for about 5 minutes.
Add Seasonings: Stir in minced garlic, salt, black pepper, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Cook for another 5-7 minutes until cauliflower is tender but slightly crisp.
Finish and Serve: Drizzle with lemon juice and sprinkle with fresh parsley. If desired, top with Parmesan cheese before serving. Serve warm as a side dish.
