Easy Honey Garlic Chicken Recipe

  • 1 1/2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs

  • 1/3 cup honey

  • 1/4 cup soy sauce

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/2 tsp ground black pepper

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (optional, for thickening)

  • Sesame seeds & green onions, for garnish


Instructions

  • In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, olive oil, and pepper.

  • Place chicken in a large skillet over medium heat and sear each side until lightly golden.

  • Pour the sauce over the chicken, cover, and simmer for 15–20 minutes, flipping halfway through.

  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch and water, stir into the sauce, and cook for 2–3 more minutes until thickened.

  • Garnish with sesame seeds and green onions.

 

  • Serve hot with rice or steamed vegetables.
