Easy Maple Baked Pears: A Simple & Delicious Dessert Recipe

  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored

  • 3 tbsp pure maple syrup

  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon

  • ½ tsp vanilla extract

  • 2 tbsp melted butter

  • ¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

  • Greek yogurt, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

  • Make the maple glaze

    • In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, melted butter, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

  • Prepare the pears

    • Place pear halves cut side up in the baking dish.

    • Drizzle the maple glaze evenly over them.

  • Bake

    • Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender and caramelized.

    • Baste the pears with the glaze from the dish halfway through baking.

 

  • Serve

    • Sprinkle with chopped nuts and serve warm with Greek yogurt, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream.
