4 ripe pears, halved and cored

3 tbsp pure maple syrup

1 tsp ground cinnamon

¼ cup chopped pecans or walnuts (optional)

Greek yogurt, whipped cream, or vanilla ice cream (for serving, optional)
Instructions

Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.

Make the maple glaze

In a small bowl, mix maple syrup, melted butter, cinnamon, and vanilla extract.

Prepare the pears

Place pear halves cut side up in the baking dish.

Drizzle the maple glaze evenly over them.

Bake

Bake for 25-30 minutes until tender and caramelized.

Baste the pears with the glaze from the dish halfway through baking.
