Easy Maple Baked Pears: A Warm, Delicious Fall Dessert Recipe

  • 4 ripe pears, halved and cored

  • 3 tablespoons pure maple syrup

  • 1 tablespoon melted butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg (optional)

  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • Pinch of salt

  • Optional toppings: chopped pecans, Greek yogurt, granola, or vanilla ice cream


Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.

  • Arrange the pear halves cut-side up in the prepared dish.

  • In a small bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, melted butter, cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and salt.

  • Spoon the mixture evenly over the pears.

  • Bake for 25–30 minutes, basting once or twice during baking, until the pears are tender and golden.

 

  • Serve warm with your favorite toppings.
