Easy Peach Crisp Recipe: A Classic Summer Dessert You’ll Crave Year-Round

For the peach filling:

  • 67 ripe peaches, peeled and sliced (or use 6 cups frozen/thawed or canned/drained peaches)

  • ¼ cup granulated sugar

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch or flour

  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

  • ½ tsp cinnamon (optional)

For the crisp topping:

  • ¾ cup old-fashioned oats

  • ½ cup all-purpose flour

  • ½ cup brown sugar

  • ½ tsp cinnamon

  • ¼ tsp salt

  • ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cold and cubed


Instructions

1. Preheat the Oven

  • Set your oven to 350°F (175°C).

2. Prepare the Filling

  • In a large bowl, mix the peach slices with sugar, lemon juice, cornstarch, vanilla, and cinnamon.

  • Pour into a greased 8×8-inch baking dish or similar size.

3. Make the Topping

  • In another bowl, combine oats, flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.

  • Cut in the cold butter using a pastry cutter or your fingers until it looks crumbly.

4. Assemble & Bake

  • Sprinkle the crisp topping evenly over the peaches.

  • Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the filling is bubbly.

5. Cool & Serve

 

  • Let cool for about 10 minutes before serving.

  • Top with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream for extra indulgence!
