- 1 cup peanut butter (creamy or crunchy)
- ¾ cup granulated sugar
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon baking soda (optional for extra softness)
- A pinch of salt
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- In a bowl, mix peanut butter, sugar, egg, vanilla, baking soda (if using), and salt until smooth.
- Scoop about 1 tablespoon of dough and roll it into a ball. Place on the baking sheet, spacing cookies 2 inches apart.
- Use a fork to press down on each ball, creating a crisscross pattern.
- Bake for 8-10 minutes, or until edges are slightly golden.
- Let cool for 5 minutes on the baking sheet, then transfer to a wire rack.
