Garlic Butter Pan Seared Pork Chops (20-Minutes)

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 boneless pork chops (about 1 inch thick)

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 3 tbsp unsalted butter

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh rosemary or thyme (or 1 tsp dried)

  • Optional: lemon wedges for serving

Instructions

1. Prep the Pork Chops

  • Pat pork chops dry with paper towels.

  • Season both sides generously with salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder.

2. Sear the Chops

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Add pork chops and cook for 3–4 minutes per side until nicely golden brown and internal temp reaches 145°F (63°C).

  • Transfer chops to a plate and tent loosely with foil.

3. Make Garlic Butter Sauce

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium.

  • Add butter, garlic, and rosemary or thyme. Stir until garlic is fragrant (about 1 minute).

4. Return Chops to Pan

  • Return pork chops to the skillet and spoon garlic butter over the top.

  • Cook for an additional 1–2 minutes, basting constantly for extra flavor.

5. Serve

  • Serve hot with garlic butter spooned over each chop.

  • Garnish with fresh herbs and optional lemon wedges.
