Garlic Lemon Butter Asparagus – Easy, Healthy, and Flavor-Packed Side Dish

1 bunch fresh asparagus, trimmed
2 tablespoons butter
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
Salt and black pepper, to taste
Grated Parmesan or chopped parsley for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  • In a large skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

  • Add garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant.

  • Add asparagus and cook for 5–7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until tender-crisp.

  • Stir in lemon juice and zest, then season with salt and pepper.

  • Cook for another minute, then remove from heat.

 

  • Garnish with Parmesan or parsley if desired and serve warm.
