Garlic Parmesan Chicken Skewers Recipe: Easy & Flavorful Grilled or Baked

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into 1-inch cubes)
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
  • Wooden or metal skewers

For serving (optional):

  • Lemon wedges
  • Garlic butter for dipping

Instructions

  1. Prepare the skewers – If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for at least 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  2. Marinate the chicken – In a bowl, combine olive oil, minced garlic, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and paprika. Add the chicken pieces and toss to coat evenly. Let marinate for 15–30 minutes.
  3. Assemble the skewers – Thread the marinated chicken onto the skewers, leaving a little space between each piece for even cooking.
  4. Grill or bake
    • Grill: Preheat the grill to medium-high heat and cook the skewers for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is fully cooked and has a nice char.
    • Oven: Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C) and place the skewers on a lined baking sheet. Bake for 15–18 minutes, turning once halfway through.
  5. Add Parmesan – Once the skewers are cooked, immediately sprinkle the grated Parmesan over the hot chicken so it melts slightly.
  6. Garnish and serve – Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve with lemon wedges and garlic butter on the side.

Enjoy these flavorful, cheesy chicken skewers as a main dish or appetizer! 🧄🧀🍗
