Greek Turkey Meatballs with Tzatziki: A Flavor-Packed Mediterranean Recipe

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale

For the Meatballs:

  • 1 lb ground turkey

  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs

  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

  • 1 egg

  • 3 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/4 cup red onion, finely diced

  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill (or 1 tsp dried)

  • 1 tsp oregano

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 2 tbsp olive oil (for cooking)

For the Tzatziki Sauce:

  • 1 cup Greek yogurt

  • 1/2 cucumber, grated & drained of excess water

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tbsp fresh dill, chopped

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan, egg, garlic, onion, parsley, dill, oregano, paprika, salt, and pepper. Mix until just combined.

  • Roll mixture into small meatballs (about 1–1.5 inches).

  • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook meatballs for 8–10 minutes, turning occasionally, until browned and fully cooked. (Or bake at 400°F/200°C for 18–20 minutes.)

  • While meatballs cook, prepare tzatziki by mixing yogurt, cucumber, garlic, lemon juice, olive oil, dill, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Chill until ready to serve.

  • Serve meatballs warm with a generous dollop of tzatziki sauce.

  • Garnish with extra parsley or dill.

  • Enjoy with pita bread, rice, or a fresh Greek salad!
