Honey-Glazed Shrimp, Sausage & Broccoli | Easy Sweet & Savory Skillet Recipe

  • 1/2 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined

  • 1/2 pound smoked sausage, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds

  • 2 cups broccoli florets

  • 2 tablespoons olive oil

  • Salt and black pepper, to taste

For the Honey Glaze:

  • 1/4 cup honey

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon Dijon or whole grain mustard

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar or apple cider vinegar

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)


Instructions

  • Prepare the Broccoli:
    Steam or microwave broccoli florets for 3–4 minutes until just tender. Set aside.

  • Brown the Sausage:
    In a large skillet over medium heat, heat 1 tablespoon olive oil.
    Add the sliced sausage and cook until browned on both sides, about 4–5 minutes. Remove and set aside.

  • Cook the Shrimp:
    In the same skillet, add the remaining olive oil.
    Season shrimp with a pinch of salt and pepper, then cook 2–3 minutes per side, until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.

  • Make the Honey Glaze:
    In a small bowl, whisk together honey, soy sauce, mustard, vinegar, garlic, and red pepper flakes.

  • Combine & Glaze:
    Return sausage and shrimp to the skillet along with the broccoli.
    Pour the honey glaze over the mixture and toss everything to coat well.
    Cook for 2–3 more minutes, stirring often, until the glaze thickens and coats everything nicely.

 

  • Serve:
    Serve hot over rice, noodles, or as-is for a lower-carb option. Garnish with green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
