1 lb large shrimp, peeled and deveined

2 tbsp olive oil

2 tbsp honey

1 tbsp fresh lime juice

1 tsp lime zest

2 cloves garlic, minced

½ tsp chili flakes (optional, for heat)

¼ tsp black pepper

Fresh cilantro or parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

Prepare the Marinade:

In a bowl, whisk together olive oil, honey, lime juice, lime zest, garlic, chili flakes, salt, and pepper.

Marinate the Shrimp:

Place the shrimp in a resealable bag or shallow dish and pour the marinade over them.

Toss to coat and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, but no longer than 1 hour (to avoid over-marinating).

Prepare the Skewers:

If using wooden skewers, soak them in water for 15-20 minutes to prevent burning.

Thread the shrimp onto the skewers, about 4-5 shrimp per skewer.

Grill the Shrimp:

Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

Grill the shrimp for 2-3 minutes per side, or until they are opaque and lightly charred.
