Loaded Taco Salad with Doritos: A Flavorful and Easy Tex-Mex Delight

  • 1 lb ground beef

  • 1 packet taco seasoning

  • ½ cup water

  • 1 head romaine lettuce (chopped)

  • 1 cup cherry tomatoes (halved)

  • ½ cup black beans (drained and rinsed)

  • ½ cup corn (cooked and cooled)

  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ¼ cup red onion (diced)

  • 1 avocado (diced)

  • 1 cup Nacho Cheese Doritos (crushed)

  • ½ cup sour cream or ranch dressing

  • ¼ cup salsa

  • ¼ cup chopped fresh cilantro (optional)


Instructions

  • Cook the Beef:

    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned.

    • Drain excess fat, then stir in taco seasoning and water.

    • Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.

  • Assemble the Salad:

    • In a large bowl, combine chopped romaine, tomatoes, black beans, corn, cheese, red onion, and avocado.

    • Add the seasoned taco meat and mix gently.

  • Add the Crunch & Dressing:

    • Sprinkle crushed Doritos on top.

    • Drizzle with sour cream or ranch dressing and salsa.

    • Garnish with fresh cilantro if desired.

 

  • Serve & Enjoy:

    • Toss the salad just before serving to mix the flavors.
