One-Pan Cheesy Meat & Potato Skillet: Easy, Delicious Comfort Food

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef or ground turkey

  • 1 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 small onion (diced)

  • 2 cloves garlic (minced)

  • 3 medium potatoes (diced into small cubes)

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • ½ tsp smoked paprika

  • ½ tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp onion powder

  • 1 cup beef or chicken broth

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • ½ cup shredded mozzarella cheese

  • 2 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)


Instructions

  • Cook the Meat:

    • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

    • Add diced onion and cook for 2 minutes until softened.

    • Add ground beef, breaking it apart with a spoon, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease if needed.

  • Cook the Potatoes:

    • Stir in minced garlic, potatoes, salt, pepper, paprika, garlic powder, and onion powder.

    • Pour in broth, cover, and let simmer for 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes are tender.

  • Melt the Cheese:

    • Once potatoes are cooked, sprinkle shredded cheddar and mozzarella cheese on top.

    • Cover with a lid and let the cheese melt for 2-3 minutes.

 

  • Serve:

    • Garnish with chopped parsley and serve hot.
