One-Pan Cheesy Meat & Potato Skillet Recipe

  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground sausage)

  • 4 medium potatoes, diced small

  • 1 small onion, diced

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1 tsp paprika

  • 1/2 tsp garlic powder

  • 1/2 tsp onion powder

  • Salt & pepper, to taste

  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

  • 1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

  • 1/4 cup cooked bacon bits (optional)

  • 2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)


Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.

  • Add diced potatoes, season with paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Cook for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until potatoes start to soften and brown.

  • Add ground beef and onion to the skillet. Cook until beef is browned and fully cooked, breaking it apart with a spatula. Drain excess grease if needed.

  • Stir in garlic and cook 1 more minute.

  • Sprinkle cheddar and mozzarella cheese evenly over the skillet. Cover and let cook on low until cheese melts, about 2–3 minutes.

  • Top with bacon bits (if using) and sliced green onions.

 

  • Serve hot and enjoy cheesy, meaty comfort in one pan!
