Ingredients
For the Bread:
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tbsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder (optional)
½ tsp paprika
1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
1 cup milk
⅓ cup sour cream or Greek yogurt
2 large eggs
¼ cup unsalted butter (melted)
2 tbsp chopped chives or parsley (optional)
Instructions
Prepare the Batter:
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan or line with parchment paper.
In a large bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, garlic powder, and paprika.
Stir in shredded cheddar cheese and chopped chives.
In a separate bowl, whisk together milk, sour cream, eggs, and melted butter until combined.
Gradually fold wet ingredients into dry ingredients until just combined (do not overmix).
Bake the Bread:
6. Pour batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top.
7. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
8. Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve:
