Roasted Garlic Parmesan Asparagus Recipe: A Flavorful & Healthy Side Dish

1 bunch asparagus, trimmed
2 tablespoons olive oil
4 cloves garlic, minced
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon lemon zest (optional)
Fresh parsley, chopped, for garnish (optional)


Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

  • Arrange asparagus on a baking sheet in a single layer. Drizzle with olive oil and toss to coat.

  • Sprinkle minced garlic, salt, and pepper over the asparagus.

  • Roast for 12–15 minutes, or until asparagus is tender and slightly crispy on the edges.

  • Remove from the oven and immediately sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.

 

  • Optionally, zest lemon over the top and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
