Slow Cooker Fried Apples Recipe | Easy & Delicious Fall Dessert

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale
  • 6 large apples (such as Honeycrisp or Granny Smith), peeled, cored, and sliced
  • ½ cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small pieces
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch (optional, for thicker sauce)

  • 1 tablespoon water (if using cornstarch)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the apples – Peel, core, and slice the apples into uniform pieces.
  2. Mix the sugars and spices – In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt.
  3. Assemble in the slow cooker – Place the apple slices in the slow cooker and sprinkle the sugar mixture evenly over them. Add vanilla extract and butter pieces.
  4. Cook – Cover and cook on low for 3–4 hours or high for 1½–2 hours, until apples are tender but not mushy. Stir gently halfway through.
  5. Thicken the sauce (optional) – If you prefer a thicker sauce, mix cornstarch with water and stir into the apples during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
  6. Serve – Enjoy warm on its own, over pancakes, waffles, oatmeal, or with ice cream!

Perfect for a cozy and comforting treat! 🍏
