  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef (or ground chicken/turkey)

  • ½ cup breadcrumbs

  • 1 large egg

  • 2 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp sesame oil (optional)

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 2 cups broccoli florets (steamed or blanched)

Honey Garlic Sauce:

  • ½ cup honey

  • ¼ cup soy sauce

  • 4 cloves garlic, minced

  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)

  • 1 tbsp cornstarch + 2 tbsp water (slurry)

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment.

  • In a bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic, soy sauce, sesame oil, and pepper. Form into meatballs.

  • Place meatballs on the baking sheet and bake for 18–20 minutes, until cooked through.

  • Meanwhile, steam or blanch broccoli until just tender, then set aside.

  • In a skillet, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, and vinegar. Bring to a simmer. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until sauce thickens.

  • Add baked meatballs to the skillet, tossing to coat in sticky honey garlic sauce.

  • Stir in broccoli and cook 1–2 minutes more.

  • Serve hot over rice or noodles.
