Scale
  • 1 lb boneless, skinless chicken breasts (cut into bite-sized pieces)

  • 2 tbsp cornstarch

  • 1 tsp salt

  • ½ tsp black pepper

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

Sauce:

  • ¼ cup honey

  • 2 tbsp soy sauce

  • 1 tbsp sriracha (adjust to taste)

  • 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (or rice vinegar)

  • 1 tsp garlic powder

  • ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional, for extra heat)

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken:

    • In a bowl, toss chicken pieces with cornstarch, salt, and black pepper until evenly coated.

  • Cook the Chicken:

    • Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

    • Add chicken and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown and cooked through. Remove from pan and set aside.

  • Make the Sauce:

    • In the same pan, lower heat to medium and add honey, soy sauce, sriracha, vinegar, garlic powder, and red pepper flakes.

    • Stir well and let it simmer for 2 minutes until slightly thickened.

  • Combine Everything:

    • Return the cooked chicken to the pan and toss to coat evenly in the sauce.

    • Cook for another 1-2 minutes until the sauce caramelizes.

  • Serve:

    • Garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.

    • Serve over steamed rice or vegetables.
