Ingredients

12 oz (1 bag) fresh or frozen cranberries

3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed for best flavor)

1 tbsp orange zest

1/4 cup water

Optional: pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for warmth
Instructions
1. Simmer the Ingredients:

In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, water, and orange zest.

Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
2. Cook Until Berries Pop:

Reduce heat and simmer for 10β12 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Cranberries will burst and sauce will thicken.
3. Adjust Flavor & Texture:

Taste and add more sugar if needed.

For a smoother sauce, mash berries or use an immersion blender briefly.
4. Chill and Serve:

Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving β sauce will thicken as it cools.
