πŸŠπŸ’ Cranberry-Orange Sauce Recipe

  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

  • 12 oz (1 bag) fresh or frozen cranberries

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar (adjust to taste)

  • 1/2 cup orange juice (freshly squeezed for best flavor)

  • 1 tbsp orange zest

  • 1/4 cup water

  • Optional: pinch of cinnamon or nutmeg for warmth

Instructions

1. Simmer the Ingredients:

  • In a medium saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, water, and orange zest.

  • Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.

2. Cook Until Berries Pop:

  • Reduce heat and simmer for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  • Cranberries will burst and sauce will thicken.

3. Adjust Flavor & Texture:

  • Taste and add more sugar if needed.

  • For a smoother sauce, mash berries or use an immersion blender briefly.

4. Chill and Serve:

  • Remove from heat and let cool to room temperature.

  • Transfer to a bowl and refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving β€” sauce will thicken as it cools.
