For the Butter Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) salted butter

  • 3โ€“4 garlic cloves, minced

  • 1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (or 1 tsp dried)

  • 1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 1/4 cup chicken broth (for extra richness)

Optional Add-ins:

  • 1/2 cup sautรฉed mushrooms or caramelized onions

  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar or Monterey Jack cheese

  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce (for depth)


Instructions

1. Prep and Season the Chicken:

  • Mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cayenne in a small bowl.

  • Rub evenly over chicken breasts.

2. Sear the Chicken:

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.

  • Cook chicken 5โ€“6 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked through (internal temp 165ยฐF).

  • Transfer to a plate and tent with foil.

3. Make the Garlic Butter Sauce:

  • In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium and melt the butter.

  • Add minced garlic and cook for 1โ€“2 minutes until fragrant (not browned).

  • Stir in lemon juice, parsley, and chicken broth. Simmer for 2โ€“3 minutes to blend flavors.

4. Bring It Together:

  • Return chicken to skillet and spoon the butter sauce over the top.

  • Optionally, top with cheese and cover until melted.

  • Garnish with extra parsley.
