Almond Butter Banana Bites – Healthy, Chocolate-Dipped Frozen Snack Recipe

2 ripe bananas, sliced into 1/2-inch rounds
1/4 cup almond butter
1/2 cup dark chocolate chips or chopped chocolate
1 teaspoon coconut oil (optional, for smoother melting)
Sea salt, for sprinkling (optional)


Instructions

  • Make Banana Sandwiches:

    • Spread a small amount of almond butter onto half of the banana slices.

    • Top with the remaining banana slices to make little “sandwiches.”

  • Freeze:

    • Place the banana sandwiches on a parchment-lined baking sheet and freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.

  • Melt Chocolate:

    • In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, melt chocolate chips with coconut oil (if using) until smooth.

  • Dip and Set:

    • Dip each frozen banana sandwich halfway into the melted chocolate.

    • Return to the baking sheet and sprinkle with a pinch of sea salt if desired.

  • Freeze Again:

    • Freeze for another 10–15 minutes until the chocolate is set.

 

  • Serve or Store:

    • Enjoy immediately or store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks.
