  • Author: Hannah

Ingredients

Scale
  • 24 Medjool dates, pitted

  • 12 slices of bacon, cut in half

  • (Optional) Soft cheese (goat cheese, blue cheese, or cream cheese) or whole almonds or pecans

  • Toothpicks (soaked in water for 10 minutes)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.

  2. Pit the dates (if not already pitted) by slicing lengthwise and removing the seed.

  3. Optional stuffing: Fill each date with about 1 teaspoon of cheese or one nut, then gently close the date.

  4. Wrap with bacon: Wrap each date with a half-slice of bacon and secure with a toothpick.

  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, turning halfway through, until bacon is crispy and browned.

  6. Cool slightly before serving. Enjoy warm!
