4 cod fillets (about 6 oz each)

3 tbsp olive oil

3 tbsp unsalted butter, melted

3 cloves garlic, minced

2 tbsp fresh lemon juice

1 tsp lemon zest

1 tsp salt

½ tsp black pepper

½ tsp paprika

½ tsp dried oregano
-
¼ tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)

1 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

Preheat the Oven:

Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C).

Lightly grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper.

Prepare the Lemon Garlic Sauce:

In a small bowl, mix olive oil, melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, lemon zest, salt, pepper, paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes (if using).

Season the Cod:

Pat the cod fillets dry with a paper towel.

Place them in the prepared baking dish and brush or drizzle the lemon garlic sauce evenly over each fillet.

Bake the Cod:

Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the cod is opaque and flakes easily with a fork.

If desired, broil for an additional 2 minutes to give the top a golden color.
