  • Author: Neriah

Description

Make a quick and easy Beef and Onion Stir Fry in just 20 minutes! Tender beef, savory sauce, and colorful veggies for a perfect meal.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb beef flank steak, thinly sliced

1 large onion, thinly sliced

2 tbsp vegetable oil

3 garlic cloves, minced

2 tbsp soy sauce (low sodium)

1 tbsp oyster sauce

1 tbsp hoisin sauce

1 tsp cornstarch

1/4 cup beef broth (or water)

1/2 tsp black pepper

1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)

Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

In a small bowl, mix together soy sauce, oyster sauce, hoisin sauce, cornstarch, and beef broth. Set aside.

Heat 1 tbsp of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced beef and stir-fry until browned, about 3-4 minutes. Remove and set aside.

In the same skillet, add the remaining oil. Add the onions and stir-fry for 2-3 minutes until slightly softened.

Add the garlic and cook for another minute until fragrant.

Return the beef to the skillet and pour in the sauce mixture. Stir everything together and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken and coat the beef and onions.

Season with black pepper and red pepper flakes, if using. Garnish with sliced green onions and serve over rice or noodles.
