1 lb ground beef

½ onion, diced

2 cloves garlic, minced

1 teaspoon salt

½ teaspoon black pepper

1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

1 cup ketchup

1 tablespoon mustard

1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots

½ cup cooked and crumbled bacon (optional)

½ cup pickles, chopped (optional)

½ cup diced tomatoes (optional)

2 green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions

Preheat Oven:

Set your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Cook the Beef Mixture:

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until the meat is browned.

Drain excess grease, then add garlic, salt, pepper, Worcestershire sauce, ketchup, and mustard.

Stir and let simmer for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat.

Assemble the Casserole:

Spread the beef mixture evenly in a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.

Sprinkle 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese over the beef.

Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.

Bake the Casserole:

Place in the oven and bake for 30–35 minutes, until the tater tots are golden and crispy.

Add Toppings & Serve:

Sprinkle the remaining ½ cup cheese over the top and bake for 5 more minutes until melted.

Garnish with bacon, pickles, tomatoes, and green onions if using.
